THE LET’S DATE GUIDE
How to Share a Personal Invitation More Privately
For more private sharing, limit the information you publish, add an optional password, and send the link and password separately. Personal pages are marked noindex, but that is a search instruction rather than access protection. Anyone who can view a page can still save or forward its contents.

Understand the draft and the live page
Before sign-in, anonymous drafts and photo files stay in this browser. Clearing browser data can remove them. After signing in, drafts can be saved online. A draft is not a public website until you verify your email and publication succeeds.
After publication, autosave still edits the draft rather than the shared snapshot. You must publish again to update the live page. Check the saved or failure state before leaving the editor; do not assume a failed upload or save has reached the cloud.
Choose what a recipient really needs
Omit private phone numbers, home addresses, documents, and sensitive personal details unless you have a clear reason to share them. Ask permission before including other people’s photographs, especially pictures of children. A short note and a single picture may be enough.
Published links use generic social previews rather than your personal headline or photographs. That helps avoid displaying the surprise in a messaging preview. It does not mean the linked page is confidential. An unprotected page is accessible to anyone with the link.
Add a password and test it
Set a password in the publish step and open the link in another browser to check that content stays locked until the password is entered. Send the password through a separate message or channel. Do not put the password in the invitation text, QR caption, or public post.
Personal photos are processed to strip embedded metadata and stored privately in Cloudflare R2. Authorized viewers receive temporary image URLs. Optional passwords add an access check, but the shared content is not end-to-end encrypted. A viewer can download a picture while the URL is valid.
Share the published link, not the editor
Use the copy-link, WhatsApp, email, or native sharing buttons after publishing. Email sharing opens your mail app; you choose the recipient and send it yourself. A QR code represents the same URL and does not add privacy. Check that the person you are sending to is the person you intended.
An available custom link name can make a page easier to recognize, but it may also be easier to guess than a random link. A published custom name is permanent. Use password protection for access rather than relying on a name being hard to discover.
Know what unpublishing can and cannot do
Unpublishing stops new access to the website through its public endpoints. Temporary image links can remain valid until they expire. Deleting a site removes its associated cloud content, but neither operation can recall pictures already downloaded or messages someone has copied.
Guest replies stay owner-readable in the dashboard and are not listed on the invitation. Ask guests to avoid sensitive information in notes. For removal questions, use the contact address listed in the Privacy page. Search indexing controls are separate from passwords and authorization.
